Age verification

18+? Here is how to get approved.

Your age is verified before you can buy vapes, tobacco products or alcoholic drinks. Use the separate DCM5 ID reader or choose Girocard, face scan or PayPal on the SENVEND terminal.

Step by step

Select first. Verify your age second.

    Select a product

    First select the age-restricted product you want at the machine.

  2. 02

    Open verification

    The SENVEND terminal will show that age approval is required before purchase.

  3. 03

    Choose a method

    Use the DCM5 ID reader or choose Girocard, face scan or PayPal on the terminal.

  4. 04

    Pay & collect

    Once approved, complete payment as shown and collect your product.

Available options

How would you like to verify your age?

You can use the separate DCM5 document reader or one of the methods shown on the SENVEND payment terminal. Follow the instructions on the relevant display.

01Separate reader

ID at the DCM5

Use a suitable original document, such as an identity card or driving licence. Pass it through the DCM5 reader exactly as shown in the video on the SENVEND display, then wait for confirmation.

Keep the document straight and never force it through the reader.
02SENVEND terminal

Girocard

Choose “Girocard” and present your Girocard to the terminal as instructed on screen. At this point, the card is used to verify your age.

Use a Girocard; the terminal shows the options it supports.
03SENVEND terminal

Face scan

Choose “Face scan”, look directly into the camera and follow the instructions on screen. The system checks whether the required minimum age has been reached.

Keep your face clearly visible and wait for confirmation.
04SENVEND terminal

PayPal

Choose “PayPal”, scan the QR code shown with your smartphone and complete age confirmation on your phone. Then wait for approval on the terminal.

Complete every step on your smartphone before returning to the terminal.

Check the display

Only the methods currently available are shown. Choose one of the displayed options and complete every step.

Try another method

If one method is not accepted, restart verification and use the DCM5, Girocard, face scan or PayPal instead.

Report a problem

If approval still fails, send us the machine, date, time and selected method so that we can investigate.
